Muraz was born in Megri, Armenia in 1957. He studied at the Jerevan Art Institute, graduating in 1981. Since that time he has taken part in countless exhibitions both in Russia, Czech Republic, Italy, Germany, Latvia, Canada and his native armenia. His works are on permanent exhibit at the Ministry of Culture, Armenia and the Armenian Artist Museum. He is also in the hands of private collectors in Belgium, France, Holland, Russia and the USA. The colours, pure and rigid, are the world and passion of Muraz. Bright masses of blue, yellow and red are intensely consumed by the viewer. Trusting firmly in his inner vision, the artist is concentrated on only one goal - to achieve artistic imagery, creating his own picturesque language. Muraz's colours are full of life subdued by sunshine which express the idea of Eternity. His colourful paintings recreate the poetic harmony and calmness of love. They are emotionally charged with the powerful spirit of life, evoking strong impressions in the viewer. The human warmth and spirituality of Muraz's work is a direct expression of his hopes, his dreams and his desire to master the sublime. Muraz lives and has worked in Prague since 1991. |
