Master Eduard Edigarian was born in
1943 in the Armenian city of Gjumri.

As far as the painting is concerned, his works are very rich both from the drawing and colour points of view. Edigarian paints mainly sitting or lying women figures, whose symbolic meaning achieves an uncertain Oriental touch through the impact of golden and ultramarine colours.
Thereis a very personal artistic language, where figurative elements /a woman, a musical instrument, a landscape, cats, different objects/ intentionally mix with a dense combination of symbols, some of
them-especially stressed-copy the contour
of human figures.
